The Cruise celebrated its 25th Anniversary with yet another maiden voyage of Seattle's premier floating party on August 12, 2006.
The event began, as usual at 1100 hours with a free pre-boarding extravaganza featuring Seattle's finest entertainers and lovely and lively hosts, hunky Tony Buff and (direct from Miami Beach) Marina Dennis. Cruisers warmly welcomed the return of a long-missing face when Carol Sterling made a special dockside cameo hosting appearance.
If all that isn't tempting enough, there will be contests and prizes -- including the coveted traditional award for "Coming the Greatest Distance". Cruisers can wear (or not wear) just about anything that strikes their fancies. Cruisers aren't shy about dressing up (or down) for the occasion. Make a splash! Cruisers Fluffed up the feathers, donned the Lycra, and brought out the bling, or flaunted their HomoAquatic gym bod.
The Queen City Cruise sold out its 2006 allotment of guaranteed tickets this year just after 10 am on July 26 (the same date as last year's sellout).
Last year's Cruise, Flambuoyant!, became a sell-out just after noon on Tuesday, July 26. Standby tickets were sold through the evening of Thursday, August 4. Nearly 30 of the standby guests were able to board the Goodtime for the party cruise, but several of the late ticket buyers had to be turned away with only a refund. Especially because of the extra week of ticket sales in 2006, early purchase is advised.

We thank the 2006 beneficiaries who helped enormously by supplying the volunteers who allow you all have a ball at the Cruise. Proceeds from the Cruise was distributed among the Legal Marriage Alliance of Washington, Action Northwest, and Seattle Metropolitan Elections Committee for Sexual Minorities (SEAMEC).
