Tacky Tourist Clubs of America, Seattle Chapter presents Seattle's most fabulous water party each year in August. It's the Queen City Cruise, an unofficial and wholly unsanctioned queer exclamation point to Seafair, Seattle's annual watersports extravaganza. The Cruise is the biggest, loudest, and most outrageous gay party of Seattle's summer season.
Note: We had sign-ups for our Cruise Alert email list turned off for the winter. The form is turned on again, so sign up now to get all the info you'll need about Queen City Cruise 2008: Project Gangplank, including early and late ticket-buying opportunities.

Tacky Tourist Clubs has produced 'mo-fabulous parties for gay/lesbian/queer Seattle since 1981. In addition to the Cruise, our past creations included The Prom...You Never Went To!, the original Things That Go Bump In the Night (now presented by Gay City and the Chorus), and other gay Seattle events and spectacles that entertained thousands and became the stuff of party legend.
Those parties are history, but The Cruise -- the original Tacky Tourist Clubs party -- still delights participants on its early August Saturday tour each year. Sign up for our Alerts so that you can join us on August 9 in 2008 when the Cruisers work it! for Queen City Cruise: Project Gangplank on August 9, 2008 featuring special guests, The Buoys of Summer.
It was the 25th Anniversary Tour of the Queen City Cruise when the boat pulled out of its dock at Pier 55 on a gloriously sunny August 12, 2006. The tour was thoroughly and fabulously HomoAquatic from its start to its sunny conclusion.
Recall that HomoAquatic spirit or -- if you missed the boat in 2006 -- get a hint of what the party was like on Seattle's inland waterways. Thanks to a boatload of intrepid snapshooters, we have examples in our gallery of HomoAquatic gay party pics. It's all there -- the divas, mermaids, muscle bois, the costumed revelers, and the boat with those ruby red lips.
We thank photographers Sterling Okase, Ron Veland, Bob Clark, Neil McLeod, Robin Evans, Diane Clary, Mark Buchanan, and Hogie for sending us their pictures. And it's still not too late for yours. Send us your party pics from the Cruise and you may see them along with the others in our gallery.
